Q. Where are you located?

A. In Plainville, we are located on Route 10 at 240 East St. We are directly across from Aqua Terra Restaurant.

In Granby, we are located at 7 Mill Pond Rd. in the Village Corner Plaza. Right near Stop and Shop and TJ Maxx.

Q. Can you fill my prescriptions?

A. No. We can help you locate a convenient pharmacy if you already have a prescription or receive one from us during your visit.

Q.What are your hours?

A. Monday to Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Q. Do you need an appointment?

A. We are a walk in based facility, no appointments are needed. We can however make appointments for physicals, and/or drug screens.

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. List of things are:

  • Drivers License or Picture ID
  • Insurance Card
  • Medication List
  • Name of your Primary Care Physician

Q. What is the difference between an Urgent Care Center and a Doctor’s office?

A. Urgent Care Center offers medical care when the doctor’s office is closed or their appointment schedule is full. We also offer some services that are usually not available in a doctor’s office, such as suturing, x-rays and splinting.

Q. What are the qualifications of the staff at your Urgent Care Center?

A. Our doctors are trained in Emergency Medicine/Family, Internal Medicine, and are the same experts who treat patients in local area hospitals. We also have trained and certified medical assistants, and x-ray technicians.

Q. How long will I have to wait?

A. We are a walk in based facility and our average wait time is about 10 minutes. Patients are seen on a first come, first serve basis, and depending on the severity of the illness or injury. Please understand the number of patients coming to our urgent care center at any particular time varies, therefore you may have to wait a little longer. We will always do our best to get you seen promptly.

Q. What if I need stitches?

A. At our facility we are able to stitch most cuts. Occasionally, a plastic surgeon may be needed and we will refer you to such if necessary.

Q. What if I have a broken bone?

A. At our facility we can diagnose fractures with x-rays and splint them. Simple fractures usually are splinted until the swelling goes down. When the swelling decreases you may need to see an Orthopedic Doctor for a cast and or follow up appointments.

Q. Where is the nearest pharmacy?

A. Our staff can assist you with locating pharmacies in the surrounding area.

Q. What kind of patients do you see?

A. All adults, and children 3 years of age and up. We treat medical conditions which require prompt care but are not life threatening

Q. Is an Urgent Care Center more affordable then an emergency room visit?

A. This depends on your co-pay, but fees are far more economical than a visit to the Emergency room.

Q. Will my insurance pay for an Urgent Care Center visit?

A. Most insurance companies do cover urgent care visits; we recommend you consult your insurance company for more information. Many insurance companies require co-pays, which should be listed on your insurance card. If your co-pay is not listed, our urgent care center staff will assist you
